World Cup Free Kick Spray now also in Bundesliga!

The free kick spray introduced at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil will be used as of the weekend of 17 October in all matches of the first to third Bundesliga as well as in the DFB-Pokal.

As the DFB states on its website, the league board decided in mid-August in favour of introducing the free kick spray. The 'aid from the can' is also already being used in the professional leagues in Spain, England, Italy and France as well as in the European Cup in the current season.

The DFB further stated that the free kick spray was part of the regular referee training course, which took place in October in Mainz. There is therefore nothing standing in the way of the introduction of the spray.
